“Dolly” is a short 3D animation about a one-eyed abandoned puppy facing challenges while searching for his owner. Although the story is touching, it also highlights the darker sides of society. People with disabilities often encounter many problems and challenges, which can put them at risk of depression. As a dog person who pays close attention to news and stories, I have noticed that disabled dogs also face abandonment and abuse. I want to emphasize that animals have emotions too, and I aimed to create a story that bridges this narrative between humans and animals.

As a beginner in 3D character creation and animation, I initially struggled with finding the right steps for sculpting and laying out the UVs. At the time, I wasn't sure how to achieve a clean retopology and wireframe, which resulted in poor animation rigging. (Now, looking back, I can see that the wireframes were not very good here, haha..) However, my passion for creating my own animation film kept me going, and I didn't give up on this project.
